I always start the winter off with a loosely kept promise to myself that I'll keep things interesting clothing wise — i.e., test out some statement toppers, attempt to have at least one eye-grabbing color on at all times and experiment with beanies or berets (a true struggle, given my head is tiny). But try as I might to remove winter's monochromatic-inducing grey spell, I always find myself reverting back to my old navy/black/gray ways — it's simply too hard to resist a very welcoming and cozy goes-with-everything black turtleneck, am I right? Nevertheless, a new year is upon us and I'm ready to meet it in candy knits and velvet trousers.
More specifically, I intend on greeting 2018 in this lilac-hued mohair jumper by Ganni. As of late, this Danish cool-girl brand has had a habit of making wardrobe pieces that I have to have. Its latest collection boasts a pretty pastel assortment of sweaters in exaggerated knitted styles with ballooning sleeves. I am particularly drawn to this light lavender washed knit, because it'll add some color to my winter wardrobe, and it's like a taste of spring and of lighter days ahead, when winter seems like an endless string of dark days.
