Leave it to Jennifer Lopez to tackle one of the most memorable but hard-to-pull-off ensembles to parade down the runway this past fashion month. The dress, which was part of Donatella Versace's emotional tribute to her late brother Gianni and his Spring 1991 collection, was Lopez's choice for a Tuesday night at the Palazzo Versace Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. Lopez joins the likes of Margot Robbie in pulling from the buzzy Spring 2018 collection that ended with a host of OG supermodels (and a standing ovation from showgoers).
Featuring a colorful pop-art-inspired print that looks like a collage of Vogue covers, the gown was paired with equally bright jewelry and shoes on the runway. But J.Lo put her own luxe spin on things by going for gold rings and bracelets, earrings from Dean Davidson, a neutral clutch and simple black Rene Caovilla heels topped off with a slick high ponytail. Her makeup, which was bronze and glowing with dark lashes and a nude lip, was similarly glam without feeling too "done." We get the feeling that Gianni himself would be pleased with the result.
