Margot Robbie's new film "I, Tonya" about competitive figure skater Tonya Harding may be full of "trashy" skating costumes, but Robbie's outfits for her press tour are so far anything but. On Tuesday night, Robbie appeared at the New York premiere of the film wearing a head-to-toe Calvin Klein ensemble that was chic but unexpected in just the right ways.
The combination of a white policeman shirt and matching "marching band" pant created the appearance of a pantsuit, though the slim cut of the legs and sheerness of the lace top kept things sexy and unstuffy. The double-breasted cognac-colored crosta leather trench coat Robbie wore over top nodded to Raf Simons's recent predilection for all things Western at Calvin Klein, but her pointed black heels kept the ensemble urban and sophisticated enough for a New York evening. Topped off with a wispy updo, dramatically dark lashes and a natural-looking lip color, the whole look was an ode to easy elegance. We can't wait to see what Robbie will show up in next.
