I stopped wearing pajama sets long ago — back when slumber parties were still major events planned months in advance by my mother. Fast forward about 18 years, and I've swapped my starry night silks for oversize T-shirts and a random assortment of comfy shorts. But as I mature and as my tees deteriorate wash after wash, I have this growing desire to revert back to those satin nighties — the ones without Lizzie McGuire's face plastered on them, of course.

My PJ range growing up was all Target and department store clearance finds — although I still believe Target has a great selection of, well, everything. Nevertheless, I've had my eye on Morgan Lane's luxe intimates for quite some time — I'm obsessed with her flirty bloomers and feminine sleep sets. This particular 100 percent silk charmeuse set — which retails for more than my canopy bed purchased on Amazon and my Anthropologie comforter put together — is the perfect uniform with which to catch some Z's in a cozy,  yet chic, manner. If I ever had to abruptly leave my bed in the middle of the night (late night bodega runs, a rare moment of spontaneity) I could easily throw on a long fur coat, some sparkly shoes and a necklet of pearls and go out looking very glam and Carrie Bradshaw
