Niall Horan, the former One Direction rocker who sure looks like he wears a lot of Madewell, has a new accolade to add to his No. 1 album ("Flicker," which is great!): Wilhelmina Models has confirmed to Fashionista that the 24-year-old has signed with the agency, meaning that he's able and ready to get his Blue Steel on in addition to singing, songwriting and tweeting at fellow former bandmate, Louis Tomlinson. Horan joins a hefty list of Wilhelmina talent who moonlight as models in addition to their mainline careers, including Cool Teen™ popstar Shawn Mendes, country singer Maren Morris and most recently, Nicki Minaj, who joined the agency this past March.
In a new interview with Vanity Fair, Horan admitted that he hadn't necessarily wanted to explore modeling on its own, but when Wilhelmina comes knocking...
"Obviously, I'm into the fashion side of things," he told Vanity Fair. "I think it's part of our culture, and what we do, and my job. I just kind of like fashion in general. I wouldn't say I was a model. I'm far from that, but obviously Wilhelmina thinks different. It's gonna be fun to see what happens."
Look at these One Direction boys, taking over the fashion world one brooding magazine shoot at a time.
