I'm a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad sleeper. I had intense insomnia as a kid, and though my habits have become noticeably healthier as an adult, I still have a hard time coaxing myself into that sweet slumber I've heard can be really restorative. (You know, on Goop and stuff.) In an effort to get myself more excited to embrace unconsciousness, I started making an effort to always have cute, cozy matching pajama sets on deck. It helps, I've found, so you can rest assured that I'm always scouring for new pairs I can wear to shreds.
When I saw this rainbow striped Reformation pair in my inbox on Wednesday morning, I quite literally sent an email to the Fashionista that read: "THOSE PJS HOLY [BAD WORD]." I was surprised that they jumped off the screen at me in a way I never expected pajamas to, but in retrospect, my attraction to them makes sense: They're a little loud and a little vintage-tinged, which are two qualities I tend to like in my clothing. They also look like something I could see Alexa Chung wearing on a lazy Saturday afternoon while just embodying general coolness.
It doesn't even matter if these bad boys don't help me fall asleep. I guess what I have to say is: Yesterday my life was duller, now everything's technicolor.
Reformation pajama set in rainbow stripe, $128, available at Reformation.
