It might feel like warmer weather is still months away, but in the world of fashion, Spring 2018 has officially arrived. We're tracking every single campaign from the season — keep up with us here.
In September, Natacha Ramsay-Levi proved that she could perfect Chloé's dreamy bohemian aesthetic when she presented a series of prairie frocks, faintly-colored linens and relatable accessories as a part of her debut collection for the French label. Now, the newly minted creative director has further cemented her vision of the Chloé woman in her inaugural campaign, which includes a short film, directed by Steven Meisel and a series of freeze frames that have been captured from it.
Shot in the golden light of day, the campaign video contains glimpses of women (models) and a ridiculously cute vizsla puppy moving about on the steps of a city street. Their unscripted movements and flouncy dresses are paired with the motorcycle kick that Ramsay-Levi added to Chloé's ultra-femme design DNA — see python booties and slim velvet suits. The camera acts as a curious passerby, documenting the models' well-dressed interactions and zooming in on certain individuals. The resulting stills harken back to the brand's previous sun-drenched campaigns under Clare Waight Keller, which often featured free-spirit girl gangs draped in billowy clothes.
