It's already been a big day of celebrity beauty news, with David Beckham announcing his men's grooming line for L'Oréal — and now Revlon is starting the year off with its own star-centric announcement. The legacy cosmetics company revealed on Tuesday that Gal Gadot, star of "Wonder Woman," is its latest Global Brand Ambassador. Gadot will front Revlon's new "Live Boldly" campaign, which will launch later this month, though the brand already debuted a video from it on Instagram.
At a press event in New York City on Tuesday, it was made clear that the statement behind the campaign — and Revlon's general branding at the moment — is all about supporting women. Gadot, an Israeli actress and former soldier, Miss Israel and "advocate for women," as she's referred to in the press release announcing the news, is certainly an emblem of strength, best known for her role in "Wonder Woman," which was widely praised for its feminist messaging.
"Revlon is such an iconic and groundbreaking brand, a champion of women, and I am so happy to be part of this family now," said Gadot in an official release. "There's a cultural shift happening, which Revlon celebrates, where feminine power is recognized, and I'm so proud that I get to witness and live this amazing change."
The campaign will begin to appear across all media platforms this month.
