While the East Coast is gearing up for a bomb cyclone, the celebrities who have gathered on the West Coast for the Palm Springs International Film Festival are enjoying the mild winter conditions in brightly hued looks — must be nice to go outside sans gloves, hats, scarves, 10 pairs of tights, a ski mask and the fear of freezing to death.
Over in sunny paradise, Variety held its Creative Impact Awards at the Parker Palm Springs on Wednesday, where actress Gal Gadot presented the Creative Impact in Directing Award to "Wonder Woman" director Patty Jenkins. Her heartfelt words about the filmmaker came with tears and a modernly cut candy-colored Oscar de la Renta suit from the label's Spring 2018 collection.
Gadot mastered the elegant, sophisticated and refreshing all-pink look with a bold red lip, a plunging magenta bustier and a bubblegum blazer and trouser set, accessorized lightly with nude stilettos and minimal jewels. While Gadot is no pioneer to the brightly colored tonal pantsuit — we have Harry Styles to thank for that – she does add a hint of sexiness to the traditional office attire, by swapping a white button down shirt for a rouged top with a more sexed-up silhouette.
The on-screen superhero has certainly paired her rise to Hollywood stardom with some best-dressed moments in 2017, and nothing says I'm back for another sartorial parade in 2018 like a pink pantsuit. Here's to many more months of fabulous Gadot get-ups.
