PURPOSE

The Brand Manager is responsible for Karma and Luck’s social media presence, marketing strategy, and overall efforts to increase brand value and awareness. This position will seek to grow awareness about Karma and Luck, and be the company expert on its products.

NATURE & SCOPE

This position is the creative lead at advertising and marketing and will work independently with designers, artist, copywriters, sales teams, and marketers to create a vision for products sold. The position will plan advertising, oversee the creative process, and give guidance to the creative people that work under them.

QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES

ESSENTIAL

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in management required.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in retail field.Demonstrated understanding of retail management and customer service.
  • Experience in planning and executing marketing strategy
  • Experience in building brand identities
  • Retail, eCommerce, and digital media branding
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, internal dynamics, a fast-paced environment with tight timelines with a positive attitude, drive to see results and proactivity
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and a keen sense of urgency and follow through.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask, manage multiple projects in a results-oriented environment

PREFERRED

Education:

  • MBA/Master’s Degree in Business, Retail or related field from an accredited college/university.

Experience:

  • An expert in storytelling, brand voicing and writing, social marketing, and the proven ability to develop viral content.
  • Advanced understanding of retail management and customer service.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Operations (50%)

  • Develop and maintain Brand guidelines, culture, systems, and tools to ensure strong brand consistency across multiple platforms.
  • Establish an educational and entertaining social media image for Karma and Luck.
  • Plan and organize in-store events with community experts and lifestyle-oriented experiences.
  • Research and profile through market analysis the target customer for Karma and Luck.
  • Support and ensure visual merchandising meets company standards.
  • Develop and manage Interactive product demonstrations.
  • Manage inventory logistics to guarantee store locations have sufficient stock including live product, testers, and samples.
  • Generate names for new and existing products and services, coming up with ideas for new packaging designs, including shape, size, colors, fonts, and imagery.
  • Maintain brand culture among all web sites, electronic media pages, social media, and other applications.
  • Manage selection, ordering and distribution of informational and promotional materials.
  • Produce valuable and engaging content for website, social media, and other communication avenues
  • Manage the consistency of all advertising, promotions and communication criteria’s across platforms.
  • Create and develop a networking system through B2C and B2B opportunities
  • Analyze results for all branding initiatives and provide strategies for opportunities and/or risks.

Leadership (25%)

  • Motivate team to meet or exceed results and goals as set by the CEO.
  • Mentor, coach, and lead location staff to feel confident about the Karma and Luck brand.

  • Display enthusiasm, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
  • Possess great interpersonal skills, ambition, and integrity.
  • Continuously optimizing team roles and responsibilities to meet performance goals and objectives
  • Build brand loyalty and strong relationships with retail staff by executing engaging training, healthy communication, and consistent support.

Strategic Planning and Program Coordination (25%)

  • Stay abreast with consumer trends and market insights that directly impact the brand. 
  • Direct behavior to emphasize the achievement of program and individual goals as well as core values. 
  • Contribute to strategic planning, proactive interdepartmental problem solving and policy development.
  • Use creative outlets to align with the like-minded brands, events, and celebrities to boost appeal.
  • Focus on developing unique market image and positioning.
  • Collaborate across department and functions to land multi-touchpoint and funnel campaigns to drive both long-term brand value and immediate business impact.

Marginal Functions

  • Assisting in maintaining department work areas, equipment and supplies
  • Performing other duties necessary to help support organizational/office operations

ESSENTIAL ABILITIES
