Has there been a day in recent history that you haven't thought to yourself, "Wow, you know, at least we have Meryl Streep?" Speaking for all of us at Fashionista, we have that thought about 20 times a week — precisely once for each of her Oscar nominations — and those only increase in frequency when she has a movie to promote.

Right now, Streep is in the midst of a press tour for "The Post," in which she plays the inimitable Katharine Graham, who led The Washington Post during its now-historic Watergate coverage. On Wednesday, Streep and co. hit the U.K. for the film's London premiere, for which she wore an incredible satin-lined Alexander McQueen tuxedo from the house's Fall 2017 collection.

Here's what the black suit looked like when it debuted on the runway.

We've discussed time and again on this website that a tuxedo is one of the sexiest, most powerful things a woman can wear, especially when it's worn with Streep's already-awe-inspiring je ne sais quoi. And when you find a piece of clothing to match that?
