Nabile Quenum, the widely beloved street style photographer, has passed away, according to multiple sources. The cause of death has not yet been determined.

Quenum, a native of Paris, was also known under his blog name of "J'ai Perdu Ma Veste." As photographable as the street style stars he captured, Quenum's presence was always noted outside fashion shows thanks to his signature round glasses, innate sense of style and his permanent smile and sunny attitude. Over the course of his career, Quenum shot for multiple international iterations of legacy publications like Vogue and GQ, as well as smaller outlets like CR Fashion Book and Fucking Young!; his most recent photographs were for New York magazine. He was also a leader of the "No Free Photos" campaign in 2017.

Quenum's peers in the industry, including Adam Katz Sinding, Scott Schuman and Lee Oliveira, as well as the faces he so frequently shot, like Gala Gonzalez, Jenny Walton and BryanBoy, took to Instagram on Thursday to pay tribute. His presence will undoubtedly be deeply felt, especially during this upcoming fashion month in February. In the meantime, we can all follow the best advice he'd been given, as he told "Fashion We Like":  "Be yourself and always be polite."

UPDATE, Thurs. Jan. 11, 2018: Quenum's family has released an official statement, which can be read in full below:
