On Monday, Princess Charlotte made her nursery school debut in a burgundy coat accessorized with a bow, powdery pink scarf, mocha-colored tights and some sensible mini Mary Janes. The two-year-old also teamed her smart and ready-to-play outfit with a polka-dotted backpack and rosy-cheeked smile, which was captured on the Kensington Palace steps by her proud mother, Kate Middleton. (Princess Charlotte is attending the Willcocks Nursery School in London.)
What to wear on the first day of school is a paramount choice for any sartorially-conscious youth — especially when you're fourth in line for the throne and you've got a royal reputation to uphold. But, we're betting the toddler got a little help from her mom when it came to picking out this ensemble, seeing as how the Duchess of Cambridge has a well-documented love for red looks and Princess Charlotte looks like a heart-shaped box of Valentine's Day chocolates.
We wish her well on her first day and on all her future academic endeavors!
