It might feel like warmer weather is still months away, but in the world of fashion, Spring 2018 has officially arrived. We're tracking every single campaign from the season — keep up with us here.
In a classic New York City setting, Selena Gomez rests on a window ledge accompanied by the golden Manhattan skyline and a quilted leather bag for Coach's Spring 2018 ad, lensed by Steven Meisel. The singer and actress wears a beaded slip dress and brings an understated glamour to the campaign imagery with her casually pinned up hair, styled by Guido Palau, and her thick brows and subtle lips courtesy of Pat McGrath.
"The Coach girl is real — she's riding the subway or, this season, hanging out in her cool NYC apartment," said creative director Stuart Vevers in a release. "Steven Meisel's photography brings a layer of magic to those seemingly everyday situations. Whilst Selena has a warmth that's special — there is also an authenticity and realness to her that brings the campaign to life."
Ever since taking over as the creative lead at Coach in 2013, Stuart Vevers has assembled an all-star troupe of artists, stylists, photographers and designers that continually find ways to celebrate the brand's age-old roots in New York City — and this campaign is yet another love letter to its American past. "Creative Director Stuart Vevers makes New York feel like a town, a real community," said Gomez in a press statement. "It just feels like this is where the brand really lives."
