Miss Sixty is bound to make a comeback with a new collaboration by Elizabeth Sulcer, whose Instagirl client list has boasted both Bella and Gigi Hadid, Kaia Gerber, Elsa Hosk, Romee Strijd and Taylor Hill. Sulcer is the latest stylist to earn herself a design gig — a strategic move that's been increasingly popular among brands. Most recently, Jamie Mizrahi was appointed creative director of the new Juicy Couture, debuting her first collection at New York Fashion Week, while Ilaria Urbanati and Carine Roitfeld have regularly designed for Eddie Bauer and Uniqlo, respectively.
Sulcer's 24-piece collection is a mix of '90s glamour, French Vogue-inspired aesthetics and a modern fashion revamp of the "Robert Palmer Girl." (To refresh your pop culture memory, watch his iconic music video for "Addicted to Love.") She frequently uses the #PalmerGirls tag in Instagram posts that feature her styling clients, but this is likely in reference to the surname of her husband, Tom Palmer.
Priced between $89 and $1,279, the items range from super-casual — merch-style T-shirts and hoodies, sporty nylon shorts — to edgy and evening-ready, like patent leather mini skirts, moto jackets and plaid suit sets. Sulcer also took advantage of the brand's denim legacy from its '90s and early aughts heyday with straight-leg, vintage-style jeans and cropped denim jackets. Of course, any Instagirl outfit isn't complete without accessories, so belt bags, fanny packs, leather berets and Western-inspired belts round out the collection.
The Italian label is celebrating the launch in Milan on Wednesday evening, which is fittingly timed with the start of fashion week. And with street style in full swing for the shows in Europe, we expect to spot Sulcer's designs on a few of her camera-ready (and very well-styled) clients very soon.
