Over the holidays, I put out an ask over social media for people's favorite-ever skin-care products, as I had a couple of Amazon gift cards burning a hole in my wallet that I wanted to put toward making my face look nice. My system was such that I tallied up every product that got recommended, and those products that had the most tally marks, I researched and/or bought. (As someone with a fair share of skin concerns, my shopping process is embarrassingly thorough.) As it turned out, this Blue Tansy Resurfacing Clarity Mask from the good folks at Herbivore was an overwhelming favorite, and it's certainly lived up to the hype.
I found pretty much right away that this stuff is no joke. After just one tingly use, I saw that its combination of natural BHAs and AHAs — from white willow bark and fruit enzymes, respectively — gently exfoliated my complexion in a way that was safe for my hyper-sensitive skin. The formula also includes blue tansy oil (the stuff that gives the mask its name, as well as that brilliant, bright color), which acts as an anti-inflammatory, and aloe, which soothes redness. In her recommendation, one of my friends noted that it seems to shrink zits, too, so I'll occasionally use it as a spot treatment in addition to an all-over mask that brings me back to life after a long day.
If you don't trust me, or any of the people who recommended this to me, I'd suggest heading to Herbivore's site and reading all 95 (and counting) mostly five-star customer reviews. The comment section doesn't lie.
