With Fashion Week officially under way in Paris, Kim Kardashian has been showing off Yeezy's newest collection while on a trip to Tokyo, according to multiple reports by Hypebeast, Highsnobiety and People.com. Kardashian is currently visiting Japan's capital with her sisters Kourtney and Khloe, allegedly filming a new episode for "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."
Last season, Kanye West reportedly held private appointments for Yeezy Season 6 in Paris; the collection eventually made its worldwide debut on Instagram with a paparazzi-style, errand-running lookbook starring Kardashian herself, and, soon after, Paris Hilton, Jordyn Woods and plenty of other Kim klones.
On Monday, Carine Roitfeld, who styled the famous #YeezySeason6 spokesmodel, became a part of the narrative. She took to Instagram to showcase one of Kardashian's recent looks — a cropped fleece pullover, shearling-lined army coat, tailored pants and knee-high snakeskin boots — with the caption "Yeezy Season 7" and CR Fashion Book's Fashion Editor Ben Perreira tagged. We're not sure if Roitfeld's fashion publication has an exclusive feature of the collection in the works or what, but it definitely suggests that Kardashian's outfits have not been random.
In addition to the outfit mentioned above, Season 7 also appears to include a short gray puffer (puffy?) with a matching top, biker shorts and socks; a hooded coat with what appears to be a blue zip-up turtleneck dress and black belt bag; and a pair of blue pumps made from transparent PVC.
While there's no official announcement or confirmation on Yeezy Season 7's reveal, we're not entirely surprised that Mrs. Kardashian-West already has her hands on her husband's latest designs. The two seem to have decided that a trip to Tokyo (plus a new hair color) offered the perfect opportunity for Kardashian to be photographed in pieces from it. Maybe we'll need to tune into an upcoming episode of "KUWTK" to see the full collection.
Peep more images below; we'll update this post with more information as it becomes available.
UPDATE, Wednesday, Feb. 28, 3:35 p.m.: Thanks to jetlag, Kardashian posted photos of said outfits on Twitter at 5 a.m. on Thursday (Tokyo time). In a single tweet, she confirmed that her clothes from the trip so far are, in fact, all Yeezy Season 7.
UPDATE, Tuesday, Mar. 6, 1:45 p.m.: According to the online collective Yeezy Mafia, stockists were invited to the Yeezy showroom only to be told that there will be no Yeezy Season 7 available because "Kanye West couldn’t do what he wanted to achieve with this collection." Allegedly, Kardashian's outfits in Tokyo are samples and will not be up for sale, and similarly to Yeezy Season 2, only footwear (heels and boots) will be offered for retail.
UPDATE, Tuesday, Mar. 6, 5:20 p.m.: The famous Yeezy famous spokesmodel herself has officially cleared things up via Twitter from Tuesday's earlier report. Replying to Yeezy Mafia's tweets (which have since been removed), Kardashian has clarified that Yeezy Season 7 will be available online "soon," and that the brand's strictly-footwear showroom was "always intended." "Yeezy does not play by fashion rules," wrote Kardashian. In another tweet, she called out Yeezy Mafia: "How can a verified account represent Yeezy with false information. You do NOT work for Yeezy and NOT affiliated. How are you gonna believe an account that posts fake color ways."
The lesson we've all learned today is this: Do not mess with Kris Jenner's daughter.
