Welcome to our column, "Hey, Quick Question," where we investigate seemingly random happenings in the fashion and beauty industries. Enjoy!

In today's installment of Kardashian-West #content, we're talking about Kim Kardashian's latest Instagram Stories: a string of photos that just might be calling out Saint Laurent's latest runway as an alleged carbon copy of Kanye West's setup from his Saint Pablo tour.

On Wednesday afternoon, Kardashian posted an image from Saint Laurent's Fall 2018 show with the caption "Cute YSL," followed by photos of her husband's previous performances from 2016. The Donda-designed floating stage allowed West to perform above his audience with a grid of stark spotlights shining above him.

For Saint Laurent, the identical lighting was placed at the start of the runway, as well as above. (According to Fashionista's own Alyssa and Maura, who are both in Paris for fashion week, the show's finale song was West's very own 2010 track "Runaway.")

This isn't the first time West has had beef with the French fashion house. In 2013, the rapper said that his song "I Am a God" was inspired by Hedi Slimane, who previously held the creative director role at Saint Laurent from 2012 to 2016. In an interview with Zane Lowe for BBC Radio 1, West explained that he wrote the track in Paris after Slimane told West he could only attend his first show at Saint Laurent if he didn't go to any others.

And while Anthony Vaccarello is now at the helm of Saint Laurent, we can't be sure if West would cut ties with the designer. After all, he's attended Vaccarello's fashion shows for his namesake brand in the past, and the two have supposedly collaborated before during West's early fashion line days

Let's hope this was just a creative coincidence, but we'll leave our dear readers to decide: Do you think there's an eerie similarity between the Saint Pablo and Saint Laurent sets? More importantly, should we start shadily calling things "cute" from now on?
