I'm a sucker for a face mist — I try pretty much every single one that comes across my desk and, trust me, that's a large number — but it's been a while since I've discovered a new favorite that I really look forward to using. Enter this recent launch from Thayers, a rose-spiked version of the brand's classic witch hazel toner, in mist-able form.
Not only does it have a refreshing fresh rose scent (it's invigorating rather than cloying), but it also walks the perfect line of being hydrating and lightweight. The alcohol-free formula is watery in texture and leaves zero residue. Witch hazel is used in skin-care to calm redness, breakouts and oil production; with the addition of rose water, this mist also becomes moisturizing, anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial. The ingredient also has antioxidant properties, making this mist an excellent mid-day skin refresher. It's also spiked with aloe, making it even more soothing.
And then there's the simple, life-giving pleasantness of using this product. The wide-spritzing nozzle deposits the perfect super-fine mist — when you try a lot of facial sprays, you learn how important this is for an enjoyable user experience — and the lingering peppy floral aroma is energizing and mood-boosting, at least for me.
