Off-White's Virgil Abloh is arguably the fashion industry's most prolific collaborator, and while his own label's price points fall into the luxury category, he's above all a champion of bringing high-quality design to the masses. He's already unveiled accessible products for the likes of Nike, Ikea and Warby Parker; his collection of three sunglass frames for the latter sold out instantly in July of 2017, thanks to a modest retail price of $95. On his Fall 2018 runway in Paris, sunglasses accessorized just as many looks as sneakers did, so we had a feeling they were going to become a hot item — but we didn't realize that they would be available so soon, or come at such a wallet-friendly cost.
The Milan-based brand just announced a collaboration with Sunglass Hut on three '80-inspired eyewear styles, each made from acetate and available in black, tortoise and baby pink. While every pair has a retro, streetwise sensibility, each of the three shapes has a personality of its own, from larger, round frames, to clean, rectangular ones to a slimmer, very on-trend option that mixes the two. Much like the Warby Parker collaboration, this range is unisex, and according to WWD, will be priced at $179.
The lookbook for the capsule stars the Instagram-beloved set of twin DJs, Simi and Haze — they're close friends of Abloh's, as well as of the Hadid and Jenner sisters — alongside male model Alton Mason, Jr., whose resume includes work for the likes of Tom Ford, Gucci, Yeezy, Michael Kors and Vogue.
