Alexander Wang's New Adidas Originals Collection Is Inspired By Factory Rejects and Quality Control
Alexander Wang's collaboration with Adidas Originals is back again with a brand-new collection — the designer's third season to date. Inspired by factory rejects and quality control, the 13-piece drop — comprised of track jackets, track-style tops, shorts, crewneck sweatshirts, graphic tees and transparent ponchos — will feature one-of-a-kind "flaws" from uneven printing, wrinkled fabrics and pixelated graphics. Wang also created his own take on the Adidas football shoe, dubbed the AW Bball Soccer and available in two colorways.
On Friday, the designer himself, along with his best model friends — Binx Walton, Lexi Boling, Hanne Gaby Odiele and Cat McNeil — will hit the road from Los Angeles to Palm Springs (for Coachella, of course) to tease the collaboration's latest offerings. The group's trip will stream on social media @AdidasOriginals so followers can join the mini-#WangFest journey — plus some characters they'll meet along the way, according to the press release notes.
