Kacey Musgraves, whose perfect, brand-new album "Golden Hour" has been the only thing I've listened to for three days now, appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Wednesday to perform "High Horse," a smart, sassy song about a man who sounds truly awful. For the occasion, the three-time Grammy winner wore a perfect, fuchsia-pink sequined Juicy Couture jumpsuit from the freshly-revived label's Fall 2018 collection (courtesy of her stylist, Erica Cloud).
It was, dare I say, perfect — partially because the piece itself is such a knockout, but also because it's the exact thing I, too, would want to wear if my own star was as on the rise as Musgraves's is right now. With wide legs, long sleeves and a high neckline, this jumpsuit certainly isn't for the faint of heart. But it's just fashion-y (and glittery) enough to catch the attention of those few remaining industry peeps who haven't yet become card-carrying Musgraves fans.
So as not to clash with the sparkle adorning the vast majority of her body, Musgraves kept the rest of the look pretty toned down with a high ponytail by hairstylist Giovanni Delgado and subtle, all-over pink makeup by makeup artist Carlene K. I particularly love the lipgloss: a glassy bubblegum pink, extremely similar to the color and style worn during Juicy Couture's runway show back in February.
You can watch her performance, and the jumpsuit in action, on "Ellen" here.
