Ever since announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, the world's eyes have been fixed on Meghan Markle — and her style. We'll be following the Meghan Markle Effect™ with our column, "Meghan Markle Wore a Thing."
In between planning a wedding that's just one month away — May 19! — Meghan Markle is still making time to fulfill her royal duties, as the bride-to-be made an appearance in London for a Commonwealth reception with Prince Harry on Wednesday.
With the weather in England reaching as high as 75 degrees (jealous), Markle tactfully dressed in layers. Her Altuzarra "Audrey" midi-length dress was a stylish choice for the warm and sunny day. And with its spring-ready silhouette, square neckline and clean pinstripe details, we have a feeling this dress will be put to plenty of use through the spring and summer. It's also currently available online at Neiman Marcus, Mytheresa and Matchesfashion, and includes a version in navy, too.
Markle also draped a Camilla and Marc "Adley" blazer over her shoulders, a similar style to the brand's "Marguerite" blazer, along with a matching black-and-white striped handbag by Oroton, an Australian label. Simplicity is key when it comes to accessorizing, so Markle opted for her trusty pair of Tamara Mellon "Paramour" suede pumps and layers of delicate jewelry, like the multiple bracelets and rings that you see in the photo above.
