My sister is getting married in September, and there are about a million small celebrations — a.k.a. sure to be highly photographed gatherings of friends and family — leading up to the main event. The festivities kick off this month with what I recently learned is a yoga-themed bridal shower, complete with sun salutations and healthy bites. So there goes the two-piece suit I had originally selected, unless I lay in Shavasana (otherwise known as corpse pose) the entire time.
Alas, I'm tasked with finding something relatively chic and picture-worthy that can easily go into a downward dog pose and flow through all of the warriors. Thankfully, a million brands offer sweat-resistant yoga apparel that you'd wear to brunch. Enter this new Outdoor Voices seasonal set that mixes something blue – very wedding-appropriate – with a spring-y pale pink. I've championed the brand's stretchy pants for a while now, but I have yet to purchase a full Outdoor Voices outfit — crop top, colorblocked leggings and all. I figure this is the perfect opportunity to get comfortable with sporting a midriff-baring top to a workout, seeing as how I'll be surrounded by middle-aged women who will all be paying attention to the elder, engaged Prant, who funnily enough, is planning to wear a set from the Austin-based label as well.
