As much as I like the idea of having a go-to uniform year-round, there's nothing that's quite as stable in the last few years as my penchant for cut-off overalls in the late spring and all throughout summer. This fact was confirmed for me a year or so ago when I realized that pretty much every tagged photo of me on social media from that season featured a pair of vintage men's overalls I thrifted and cut off into shorts.

This year, I'd love to get a few fun new layering pieces to wear underneath my overalls. While I might opt for collared shirts or light sweaters on cooler days, I think this bralette from ethical Canadian label People's Product would be lovely once it gets hotter. It's full-coverage enough that I wouldn't feel too conspicuous wearing it sans a shirt under overalls, but it'd still give me that breezy feeling I love. The delicate floral embroidery would also be a pretty counterpoint to the boxy shape of my overalls and the buzzcut I wear all year. Spring/summer uniform, I'm ready for you.
