Let me get this out of the way first: Yes, I'm writing about a $27 deodorant. Yes, I realize that seems bougie as hell (and perhaps even a little crazy). But hear me out. This is easily the best-smelling deodorant I've ever used, and I totally stand by it being a worthwhile purchase. Let's just say it's a cult obsession for a reason: According to NPD Group, Donna Karan Cashmere Mist deodorant has actually been the number-one selling prestige body product in the U.S. since 1996.
A creamier, cozier version of Donna Karan's beloved Cashmere Mist fragrance (I swear it smells different from the rest of the products in the range, which are good, but somehow not quite as good), the solid deodorant stick is the only one I've ever actually looked forward to swiping on.
The gentle formula doesn't sting — even if you're applying it immediately post-shaving — and it has incredible staying power. And it's not exactly subtle. Often, when I use this deodorant, I'll forgo wearing any other perfume, since its inviting, sandalwood-and-orchid-tinged scent is enough all on its own. In the winter months, I'm all about trying to stick to natural deodorant formulas, but as New York's notoriously sweltering, humid summer days approach, I'm treating my underarms to this heavier-duty, heavenly-smelling one, instead.
