One of the most prominent celebrity stylists working today, Micaela Erlanger sits regularly at the top of The Hollywood Reporter's esteemed yearly "Most Powerful Stylists" lists while dressing A-list clients and best-dressed list regulars like Lupita Nyong'o, Jared Leto, Common, Michelle Dockery, Diane Kruger and Meryl Streep. On top of that, her editorial work spans across top publications such as Elle, Vanity Fair, Marie Claire, GQ, Esquire and Vogue Thailand; she's also worked on ads for brands like L'Oréal, Lancôme, Neutrogena, Revlon, Cadillac, Nike, Naeem Khan, Badgley Mischka and Nicole Miller. Somehow, she also had time to publish her first book, "How to Accessorize," earlier this year.
But like so many successful people working in fashion today, Erlanger started out as a lowly intern, and at our sixth-annual How to Make It in Fashion conference on June 15, she'll detail what it took for her to make it to the top, what her job really entails (including the not-so-glamorous parts) in addition to sharing her advice for the next generation.
If you're interested in or have already begun a career in styling, you won't want to miss her at our New York City conference at Public on June 15.
