While plenty of fashion people made the argument during the Fall 2018 shows that animal prints like leopard or zebra can function as aesthetic neutrals, the truth is that they're far less foolproof than standard neutrals like black or navy. Which is why a head-to-toe 'fit featuring animal print that is not only inoffensive to the eyes but actually really works is something to be celebrated, as in the case of Mandy Moore's Stella McCartney jumpsuit in brown-and-black jaguar print.
Worn to a Los Angeles screening of "This Is Us" on Tuesday night, Moore's jumpsuit worked in part because of what she did — and didn't — pair with it. An ornate vintage gold necklace from Beladora Jewelry played up the jumpsuit's sexy neckline, while simple Christian Louboutin heels made for an un-distracting addition to the busy print. Moore's beauty look was the icing on the cake, with her very subtly ombre hair playing into the brown and black of her clothing and a bright orangey-red lipstick bringing a bright jolt of color to her otherwise earth-toned look. Whether it counts as a neutral or not, this is an animal print look we can get behind.
