As fun as it is to go to a wedding and then scroll through your friends' Instagram posts after the fact to re-live the memories, there's nothing quite like seeing the event the way the designated photographer captured it. That's a little bit how we feel about seeing the first official family portraits from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's wedding this weekend — after an endless stream of press photos, it's nice to see the images created by the couple's chosen lensman.

Three official portraits were released on Monday by Kensington Palace, all shot by Alexi Lubomirski, who also shot Meghan and Harry's engagement photos and described the process of capturing their love story as "a beautiful chapter in my career and life, that I will happily never forget" in an Instagram post. The pictures feature Markle in the Givenchy by Claire Waight Keller gown that she wore for the ceremony, with Prince Harry in his royal uniform.

They also feature Kate Middleton and Prince William, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla, along with Markle's mother Doria Ragland and a gaggle of too-cute bridesmaids and page boys. The family portraits were shot in the Green Drawing Room of Windsor Castle, while the couple shot was taken outside on the steps.

Congrats again to the newly minted Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
