On Sunday evening, the heroes of Britain's small screen came out in full sartorial force at the Royal Albert Hall in London for the 2018 BAFTA TV Awards. The ceremony celebrates the best and brightest in British television, and our friends across the pond did not disappoint with their red carpet looks.
A number of attendees channeled a summertime aesthetic, choosing to forego black dresses for an array of vibrantly-hued gowns. "Westworld" star Thandie Newton played with a vivacious color palette and showed up in a dynamic floral-printed Richard Quinn asymmetrical frock. Similarly, "Britain's Got Talent" judge Amanda Holden turned heads in a fuchsia pink satin dress from the Poland-based label, La Mania.
There was also no shortage of opulence: Vanessa Kirby from "The Crown" arrived in a sparkly sequin Dior number, while "Outlander" lead Caitriona Balfe wore a strapless Delpozo confection that was dramatized by the explosion of navy and plum appliqués and feathered trim. All in all, it was an evening that glittered with impressive fashion moments.
