While the CFDA Awards were taking place in Brooklyn on Monday night, another fashion-focused red carpet was happening across the pond in London. Elle UK celebrated the debut of The Elle List, a roundup of emerging individuals across fashion, beauty, culture, politics and technology. Adwoa Aboah arrived to the party to show her support for Holly Gore, who snagged a spot on the list for her work with the model's mental health initiative Gurls Talk.
Aboah's evening ensemble was a stylish play on color, specifically her bright, bold eye makeup. The turquoise hue reminds us of her memorable British Vogue cover, which garnered plenty of praise for both Aboah and then-newly-minted Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful. And while the neon-tinged shade is a sharp contrast to the model's yellow-and-black gown, the overall palette works together nicely. The rest of Aboah's look consisted of simple, layered jewelry and matching yellow nail polish.
Now, where can we get that shadow color, Adwoa? We have a feeling we'll be experimenting with our own eye makeup this summer.
