I've been following the Los Angeles-based basics brand Calder Blake ever since Sofia Coppola shot one of its lookbooks (it all always comes back to Sofia, doesn't it?) and am very into its ethos of creating understated, timeless clothing using natural fabrics in the USA.
The brand doesn't add new products too often but a recent launch of cute little smocked bralettes had me immediately clicking the "save" box on Instagram; it looked just as appealing IRL at LA's Echo Park Craft Fair a couple of weeks ago, too. I didn't pull the trigger because I'm not sure in-public bralettes are my thing, but the more I see it, the more I'm thinking otherwise. Plus, if I'm feeling shy, I can wear it over a T-shirt, as the e-com description suggests, or a tank top, as I saw one styled on Instagram.
It's already out of stock in several colorways, so if you're feeling it too, you'd better pull the trigger soon.
