It's been quite a fashionable week for Rihanna. But then, when is it not? Fresh from making the rounds to promote her new film "Ocean's 8," the singer attended an event on Wednesday to celebrate her collaboration with sock brand Stance to raise money for her Clara Lionel Foundation. For the occasion, Rihanna — who showed up (adorably) with her mom in tow as her date — channeled major "Risky Business" vibes in a powder-blue custom Matthew Adams Dolan shirtdress. It's obviously a much more refined, modern, red-carpet-appropriate take on Tom Cruise's iconic pants-less button-down look — but the film reference is there nonetheless.
Styled by Rihanna's go-to wardrobe visionary Jahleel Weaver, the look showcased a full-on monochromatic effect; the shirtdress was paired with a miniature Stalvey beauty case bag and strappy Manolo Blahnik stiletto sandals in similar powder-blue tones. Rihanna topped it all off with a chunky David Webb necklace, sleek hair and a matte fuchsia lip (probably Fenty Mattemoiselle in Candy Venom, if we had to venture a guess).
