Seeking passionate full time Production Assistant to work for our Luxury Brand. You will work closely with the Creative Director to assist in all areas of production acting as their right hand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing production matters both foreign and domestic 
  • Follow through with design changes, quality control, costing, and updating linesheets 
  • Close monitoring of the production calendar to meet deadlines, prepare shipments, and manage sample process 
  • Meet with new vendors to establish expectations and goals
  • Monitor product quality and delivery and provide improvement solutions to team and vendors when encountering issues 
  • Manage Style review meetings with fit, sales, design, and ensure the team is aware of necessary details, ready dates, preliminary costs and other essential information
  • Review costing strategy with cross brand view to support onia’s sourcing plan 
  • Educate and influence vendors to plan mid-long term business strategy aligned with onia’s vision 
  • Counter source fabric/trim based on descriptions from design team to meet product intention 
  • Review costing strategy with cross brand view to support the sourcing plan and:
    ○ Drive production + development cost reduction
    ○ Negotiate fabric/trim costs, leadtimes and minimums with mills and suppliers
    ○ Secure each vendor's timeline, capacity and daily productivity until on time delivery
  • Follow up customer/store call outs after shipment and investigate the root cause and find an action plan for the future seasons
  • Consult sales/e-commerce dept and lead the function to collaborate and share products information 
  • Support calendar with meetings and deadlines 
  • Keep fabric swatches and trim in the bins and create fabric and trim library to track history Sort out samples to keep for each needs and organize closet
  • Organize all outgoing shipments:
    ○ Enter Brand specific description when creating shipment Email tracking info + Brand + What is being sent (keep email history for DHL invoices)
    ○ Drop off any FedEx shipments (they do not pick up ) Assist office administration Keep track of any supplies you notice we are running low on so we can order ahead of time

Experience and Education

  • High School Diploma Required, College or Design Degree preferred 
  • Minimum 2 years women’s wear production experience
  • Experience with domestic and international production
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required 
  • Strong math skills required 
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Google Sheets, including Word and Excel
