It seems no brand or celebrity is immune to the logomania super-trend which continues to grace our Instagram feeds and red carpets. On Tuesday evening, at a screening of her new Netflix new film "Set It Up," actress Zoey Deutch wore her own tailored take in the form of a layered dress and pants. The pieces, which are from the Valentino Resort 2019 collection, feature a (relatively, as logos go) subtle, all-over "V" print, accented by blue cuffs and an exaggerated collar, as well as a bright-red belt, also adorned with the brand's logo.
The dress-over-pants look can sometimes be cumbersome and bulky, but on Deutch — thanks to immaculate tailoring and skillful styling by Elizabeth Stewart — the effect was crisp and polished. Deutch paired the ensemble with strappy red heels (specifically, Via Spiga's Faxon shoe) and a matching red pedicure, which not only played off the hue of her belt, but also of her auburn hair.
Speaking of beauty, Deutch's slick, high ponytail (created by hairstylist Jennifer Yepez) lent a sleek element to the look, while the red-toned eye makeup (by makeup artist Vincent Oquendo) also brought cohesion. Yepez shared a bit about how she created the ponytail on Instagram, noting that she relied on two Kérastase products — L'incroyable Créme Laque Couture and Nutritive Créme Magistrale — and a hair piece by Helena Wigs (no, that thick, flowing ponytail isn't all-natural).
