The daughter of Anna Wintour and son of the late Vogue Italia Editor-in-Chief Franca Sozzani, Shaffer and Carrozzini's union represents the coming-together of two great Vogue dynasties. And while the couple's American nuptials apparently featured a social media blackout so thorough that no pictures have leaked (perhaps so they make a bigger splash when published in American Vogue's September issue this year?), the Italian wedding was covered by local paper Chi, which ran images of the two leaving the San Giorgio church.
For the occasion, Shaffer wore a white dress with full lace sleeves and a lace veil reminiscent of a Catholic mantilla. A cross necklace and low strappy heels completed the ensemble. Carrozzini opted for a double-breasted dark blue suit with a white shirt and pocket square, before changing into jeans and a T-shirt for a visit the newlyweds took to his mother's grave.
