Instagram's brightest stars have spent the summer splayed out on picturesque beaches, enjoying the fruits of their massive followings, while the rest of us mindlessly scroll through their portrait mode snapshots during the occasional free moments at work. The good thing about seeing our favorite influencers in glamorous sandy spots around the globe (and the whole point of the influencer vacation ecosystem, really) is getting to pick apart their vacation wardrobes, ideally clicking to buy the exact items they're wearing, which gives us a lot to think about as we continue to dress for the warm weather.

As we found last year around this time, there were some clear trends among the Instagram elite. Ruffled and polka-dotted pieces continued to pop up, meaning that either these girls share sartorial sensibilities or some brands and retailers were more generous with gifting than others. Whether it's a wide-brim straw hat inspired by the giant Jacquemus one, a beaded kitschy bag by Susan Alexandra, a smocked top or a bright red swimsuit, there's a formula to achieving an Instagram-worthy ensemble this season. Scroll through the galleries below to shop the 17 key pieces that are getting all the likes this summer.
