The last time I wore any sort of makeup on a regular basis was in high school, when I thought eyeliner would distract from the metal mess going on in my mouth. It didn't, but I charged on, braces and all. Fast-forward to present day, and I reserve my eyeliner and blush applications for very special occasions. In fact, I don't wear anything on my face at all — save for invisible layers of toner, moisturizer and my newest addition: a natural fruit acid exfoliating glow potion by Herbivore Botanicals.
I use Herbivore's Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Mist on a daily basis, so when I heard the brand was launching a new water-based potion designed to unclog pores, I was eager to try it out. Plus, the world "potion" automatically makes me think of some magical healing substance. Alas, I worked up the courage to test it out last week, and my skin's texture has already improved, along with its tone, which has become much more even and devoid of any redness. Also, that coveted, natural-looking glow — the one I've never been able to or even tried to achieve with any sort of foundation or highlighter — has taken over my face. Perhaps it does contain a bit of magic, after all.
