Ever since announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, the world's eyes have been fixed on Meghan Markle — and her style. We'll be following the Meghan Markle Effect™ with our column, "Meghan Markle Wore a Thing."
Wimbledon's best-dressed wouldn't be complete without an appearance from the Royals, and thankfully, Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton spent their Saturday watching the Ladies' Singles Final, marking their first-ever solo outing together as in-laws.
The Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex are very aware that attending a tennis match calls for some stylish outfit choices, and the two coordinated nicely in printed ensembles. Markle wore a striped button-down shirt with white wide-leg trousers, both by Ralph Lauren, along with a Maison Michel wide-brim Panama hat, a Altuzarra "Ghianda" saddle bag and Illesteva sunglasses. She kept her jewelry to a minimum — just her wedding and engagement rings — and loosely pulled her hair back into a low bun.
And while this column is dedicated to everything that Markle wears, we have to give a shout out to Middleton's look, too. The Royal Highness (and royal patron of Wimbledon) wore a white dress with black polka dots and ruffled details by Jenny Packham, along with a light nude handbag and pearl drop earrings. On Sunday, she'll attend the Gentlemens' Singles Final with Prince William.
