Couture Week has come and gone, which means that Fashion Month will be here sooner than you think. Over the past five days, it appeared as though the street style crowd is saving their most anticipated sartorial moments for September.

Though the runway shows featured the extravagant creations from the industry's leading designers — Valentino's stunning collection; Chanel's Parisian promenade; Elie Saab's high glamour; and Dior's classic-yet-modern, elegance — showgoers opted for a more casual aesthetic. Denim in all styles, from cut-off shorts to high-waisted jeans and flared skirts, was popular among ensembles, but it was dressed up with fancy tops with plenty of ruffles, sparkle and quirky silhouettes. It's the ultimate high-low look and something that has been trending among fashion people in Paris: At Paris Fashion Week Men's, for example, suits with sneakers was the top outfit of choice.
