Purple New York are looking for an experienced Account Manager for its Fashion division to join the agency. The Account Manager will play an essential role in supporting the assigned Account Director in the development and execution of: generating maximum brand exposure through creative product placement, profile features and launches. The Account Manager must have a genuine passion for developing brands, using true initiative in order to achieve exceptional results. Impeccable client liaison skills and an established network of key contacts (brands and press) are essential.

Reporting to the Account Director, the Account Manager’s responsibilities would include increasing awareness for all brands assigned to them. In this role the Account Manager will promote the different clients in all activities, campaigns, special projects, shows, presentations and events to the media and to develop and maintain relationships with key journalists and media within your assigned and designated market, acting as an ambassador for Purple.

  • Proven experience in a managerial PR role within a luxury fashion environment
  • Prerequisites include strong managerial and organisational skills - to oversee, manage, and develop all tasks and responsibilities set internally and by the client
  • Demonstrate solid understanding of and ongoing interest in the luxury fashion industry
  • A responsive and understanding approach to client management
  • Proactively pitch story ideas to achieve maximum editorial placement across your brand
  • Oversee team on the creation of press materials that are both visually appealing and informative
  • Oversee digital strategy across online press and social media for the department
  • Brainstorm creative ideas and generate publicity strategies to enhance PR campaigns, going beyond the role of the press office
  • Generate media placement and features in appropriate titles
  • Build and maintain regular day-to-day contact and close relationships with Editors and press
  • Analyse coverage across online, offline and blogs, and leverage added value from all PR activity
  • Support AD’s on communication with all clients, building rapport and credibility based on trust and expert counsel
  • Manage and motivate junior members of the team to ensure day to day operations run smoothly and PR results are delivered; while supporting them in their growth to the next level. Equally support AD’s and senior members of the team to ensure maximum support across all levels.
  • Contribute and oversee the completion of client reports and presentations for AD’s review; including strict attention to campaign evaluation and metrics
  • Manage day-to-day communication with Purple’s Digital Team to ensure that the division is informed of all technology, social channels and influencer updates within the industry, as well as having a clear understanding of metrics and reporting
  • Embrace a strong understanding of the industry’s position across all social platforms, developing competitor case study analysis, and remain up to date on leading social platforms
  • Have a clear understanding of paid, owned and earned media strategies, and develop relationships with top influencers to support this activity
  • Have strong connections with leading and emerging editorial talents in the UK and Europe;
  • Contribute to agency new business efforts; both creating proposals and participating in relevant pitches
  • Creative and strategic thinker with strong relationships with senior editors within the fashion industry
  • Able to identify communication opportunities through a pro-active approach
  • Proven experience of working in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work to tight deadlines. Excellent prioritizing and time management
  • Discreet, professional and articulate, with excellent communication skills
  • Extremely well-organised, methodical and efficient, with strong initiative
  • Strong presentation & writing skills
  • Having a visionary and opportunistic approach to new business development
  • Show and Presentation experience essential
  • Strong computer skills including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Fashion GPS
