The Teen Choice Awards are arguably the chillest, most laid-back awards show there is. So when it comes to getting dressed for the event, the youths of Hollywood aren't choosing floor-length gowns or simple silhouettes; instead, they're piling on sparkles, shortening hemlines, playing with patterns and showing love to crop tops.

This year's talented teens and twenty-somethings were dressed for a night of fun: Meghan Trainor and Lili Reinhart both donned sequins; Storm Reid and Anna Kendrick chose thigh-grazing dresses with lots of embellishment. The young men also enjoyed the lax dress code, taking the opportunity to show off their personal style: Cole Sprouse looked like a sleek cowboy in a Saint Laurent ensemble that consisted of a denim button-down shirt layered beneath a white blazer with a red banana peeking out. Meanwhile, Khalid looked a bit more tailored in a Fendi trench and dark-red corduroy pants.
