The warmer half of the color wheel was put to good use on the red carpet this week by celebs at a host of movie premieres. Eschewing cool greens, blues and purples for more fiery shades, actresses opted for bold color that made even the simplest silhouettes feel spicy. Case in point? Yara Shahidi's ruffly Prada number, for example, or Dakota Fanning's silky Nina Ricci wrap. Awkwafina's dusty pink Reem Acra gown and Ruby Rose's Prabal Gurung selection added an extra layer of drama with floor-sweeping lengths, and Glenn Close's Alexander McQueen pantsuit was eye-catching with an asymmetrical cape detail.
For those less interested in looking like the human personification of the flame emoji, there were other options, like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's sexy and minimal Stella McCartney dress or Constance Wu's fringe-sleeved Ralph & Russo gown. Chloë Sevigny donned a graphic floral Miu Miu frock (the same one favored by Uma Thurman earlier this summer), while Gemma Chan went the sparkly route with a sequin-encrusted piece from Oscar de la Renta.
