Starting off the week with a major event — Monday night's 2018 MTV Video Music Awards, for example — can sometimes bring red-carpet fatigue by Friday. But celebrities made sure to keep up the sartorial spirit, opting for a wide variety of eye-catching prints to adorn their ensembles. Tie-dye, polka dots, stripes... You name it, they wore it.

Jennifer Lopez kicked off the week's repeat-motif trend at an afterparty celebrating her MTV Vanguard Award in a signature Versace print. Chloë Grace Moretz wore a look from Proenza Schouler's Fall 2018 collection, which featured a hodgepodge of tie-dye velvet and crochet, for a London screening of her new film "The Miseducation of Cameron Post."

Martha Hunt chose classic polka dots covering her pajama-style set for a Victoria's Secret event in Chicago, while Regina King, who attended a Television Academy celebration in Los Angeles, dazzled in a striped Missoni gown. On the menswear front, Henry Golding got the fashion memo, too. In Singapore, he made an appearance for the premiere of "Crazy Rich Asians" wearing a pink metallic Tom Ford suit jacket in a snake-jacquard print.
