Christophe Lemaire has been designing for Uniqlo since 2015, when his capsule collections with the mass retailer were so successful that they led to his hire as artistic director of Uniqlo U. Since then, the relationship has remained strong, with the designer regularly cranking out collections for the brand, and Uniqlo's parent company Fast Retailing recently acquiring a minority stake in Lemaire, the brand for which Lemaire (the person) designs, alongside Sarah Linh-Tran.

Though the designer's latest collection for Uniqlo U is full of pieces befitting fall and winter, that doesn't mean it's devoid of color. Instead, a host of rich ochres, fuschias and burnt umbers enliven the collection that features everything from outerwear to dresses, from shoes to knits.

"The styling for this season emphasizes volume through dolman sleeves for women's fleece blousons and boxy silhouettes for men's fleece jackets," the brand said in a statement. "Women's items exude comfort and confidence, while men’s pieces convey unpretentious relaxation."

The Fall 2018 collection will be available for purchase online and at Uniqlo 5th Avenue in New York on September 13, with additional stores to launch the collection the following day.
