Lady Gaga may have traded in her meat dresses for old-school Hollywood glamour and Katy Perry may be more prone to wearing pantsuits than Christmas tree cosplay lately, but that doesn't mean that the days of the dramatic pop diva are dead. Cardi B is here to make sure of it. On Tuesday night, the "Bodak Yellow" singer performed at Etam's Paris Fashion Week show wearing what looked like half an ostrich affixed to a low-cut, cleavage-baring suit, all in a soft shade of lilac.
The look in question was designed by Christian Cowan, and was worn by model Leomie Anderson to close out Cowan's Spring 2019 show at New York Fashion Week just a few weeks prior. Cardi's stylist Kollin Carter helped her personalize the look by pairing it with pointy-toed white Casadei stilettos and massive gem-crusted Dylanlex earrings, in addition to fake nails so long they were an accessory in and of themselves. To top it all off, Cardi went with a slicked-back wig the same color as her suit. It's not the kind of look that most of us could wear in real life (imagine trying to get through subway doors in that jacket!), but for those who have missed capital-F fashion appearing on their favorite songstresses, it's good to know that Cardi, at least, will still deliver.
