Ever since announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, the world's eyes have been fixed on Meghan Markle — and her style. We'll be following the Meghan Markle Effect™ with our column, "Meghan Markle Wore a Thing."
Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle has been favoring dark tones in sleek silhouettes lately and we can't say we're mad about it. A sharp, understated aesthetic suits her well. (No pun intended.)
In a follow-up to the black Judith & Charles tuxedo dress she stepped out wearing to see "Hamilton" last week, Markle chose a black Altuzarra pantsuit for Tuesday evening's WellChild Awards at The Royal Lancaster Hotel in London. She paired the suit with a silk Deitas camisole, a Stella McCartney clutch, black pointy heels and a pair of diamond and pearl earrings gifted to her by the Queen, looking elegant and polished without taking too much attention away from the children the event is meant to celebrate.
It's Markle's second time wearing Altuzarra publicly since getting involved with the Royals: She wore a pinstriped dress by the designer just before her wedding to Prince Harry in April.
Clearly, the brand suits her. (Again, not a pun, I swear.) While she re-wears accessories pretty frequently, it's too soon to tell whether Markle will become the master outfit repeater the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton has proven herself to be, but if she does (and we bet she will), this suit definitely deserves a spot in her rotation.
