We're approaching the tail-end of New York Fashion Week and it seems like our favorite street style stars were on some old-timey "fiddle faddle" — a new old-timey phrase we just learned — on Monday. We spotted a handful of showgoers in very dramatic ensembles, comprised of ruffled blouses, frilly dresses and the like.
Were they inspired by the Victorian times? Revolutionary War? Versailles? Jerry Seinfeld? Not quite. In fact, the fashion crowd was on its way to Zimmermann's Spring 2019 runway show, and to convey their support, some select influencers were given the chance to wear the Australian label's Fall 2018 collection. Designer Nicky Zimmermann revamped the brand's usual beach-ready aesthetic with Victorian-era details, and we finally saw these looks in full effect during fashion week. Or should we start calling it Ye Olde Fashion Week?
