As great and effective as Uniqlo's Heattech line of insulating basics is, you have to admit it leaves something to be desired aesthetically. So, Uniqlo, which has a knack for doing on-brand designer collaborations that make sense, tapped Alexander Wang to give the range a little revamp just in time for colder weather.
Unveiled to editors in New York on Tuesday, the line is still comprised of layer-able basics like tank tops, leggings, underwear and bodysuits, but with a cool, stylish, Wang-ified upgrade. So that when you enter a building with the heat turned all the way up and have to take off your sweater, you'll be wearing something cute underneath. While still simple and understated, the whole range has a sporty, '80s tinge that is very Wang, seen in ribbed fabric, high-cut leg openings, lots of black and, of course, the very of-the-moment neon green.
There are 12 styles for women and six for men, all of which will be shoppable on Uniqlo.com and select New York Stores Nov. 8, and will hit all other stores Nov. 9. See them all, with prices, in the galleries below.
