For most of my life, my moisturizing routine consisted of slapping on whatever lotion I picked up at the drugstore. That's because, for most of my life, I had the youthful skin of a youthful person!
But as I approached, and then entered, my 30s, I began to take stock of what it would take to keep my skin looking fresh and tight — you know, normal, chill adult woman stuff. I still generally found the concept of a proper skincare routine to be overwhelming, which meant for a long time, I just took home whatever beauty products showed up in our office. One such product was this overnight mask by Fresh.
For a while, I wasn't sure what to do with it (I know, it seems pretty clear, but keep in mind I was taking home a lot of different lotions and potions without any idea of how and when to use them), so I just used it on my face sporadically. Then, one evening, I had the idea of using this dreamy stuff on my neck and chest nightly, and I've never looked back.
The formula is satisfyingly thick without being greasy or heavy, which means it sinks right in and doesn't stick to my pajamas, an annoyance I've encountered with other night creams. It does seem to deliver on the promise of being both smoothing and firming; plus, the smell is wonderful — just a mild, clean scent that isn't overpowering or cloying.
I recently ran out, literally scraping into the bottom and the sides to get out every last smidgen of this stuff, and my night routine hasn't been the same since. It's that good. I've been trying to rotate in other products that need to be used up, but this is definitely going to end up back in my routine very soon.
